How to check the vehicle location

By default we can see the location of the vehicle automatically. However if the vehicle's Greenway status is ON then the position of the vehicle is hidden.

To check the vehicle location go to operations --> vehicles --> click on the vehicle registration number --> click on the 'show' button located below the location map. 

You will then be asked to select the reason for requesting the access. Once you have selected your reason, click confirm.


List of reasons to request the position of the vehicle

You can ask for the position of the vehicle for the following reasons:

  • Rental is delayed - mitigate any consequences for the user whose vehicle has been delayed
  • Theft or suspected theft
  • A suspected accident in order to provide assistance or emergency medical treatment
  • Collection of the vehicle at customer site
  • Police request

We will store the following logs:

  • users who requested the location
  • the vehcile checked
  • the selected reason
  • the timestamp of the request

Why do I not see the 'show' button?

You may not have the right role and permission to request the location of the vehicle. If you believe this is the case and you require access please speak to your line manager who can request this.

What is the main station?

The main station is the station which is 'linked' to a vehicle. The one which is responsible for the vehicle based on the check in station of the last movement. Therefore the station linked to the vehicle can change over time.
